* 1539: Dissolution of the monasteries by Henry VIII; Coventry Priory becomes a secular cathedral.

Modern-Day (21st Century)
* 20th Anniversary (1982): Installation of the tapestry “Christ in Glory,” designed by Graham Sutherland.
* 50th Anniversary (2012): Restoration and refurbishment of the cathedral.
* Present Day: Coventry Cathedral continues to be an icon of reconciliation and peace, hosting numerous events and exhibitions. It remains a popular tourist destination, renowned for its striking architecture and stained glass windows.
